The GEA V-Packer IM is an intermittent motion packaging system suitable for the handling of short cut pasta and dry granular food.
Machine controlled by PLC, driven by brushless independent motors and its versatility permits possible couplings with any kind of weigher and doser. It is designed for those customers that do not have relevant need for high speeds, but they rather focus on the quality of the packaging, especially concerning flat bottom bags.
Machine parameters are managed electronically thanks to the operator interface touchscreen type color panel for memorization, control and self-diagnostic of the operation parameters and to help the operator to identify easily the eventual machine stop causes.
The high quality of components (all parts in contact with the product are in stainless steel) sharply reduces parts wear and consequently maintenance time.
• Packaging speed: up to 80 bags per minute (pillow type);
• Packaging speed: up to 65 bags per minute (flat bottom type).

Whether it’s a fad or the future, 100% vial traceability is becoming an increasingly important consideration in the pharmaceutical freeze drying industry. Keeping a close eye on developments is GEA. We’re investigating possible solutions and, what’s more, we have the experience, expertise and know-how to implement them.
There was a time when the phrases ‘non-alcoholic beer’ and ‘tastes good’ were seldom used together in the same sentence, particularly by consumers. But low-proof and alcohol-free beers have come a long way – many of them now refreshing drinks in their own right – thanks in no small part to technology from GEA.
At GEA, our commitment to engineering for a better world fuels our pursuit of innovative solutions that enhance patient care and safety. One of our most promising ventures in recent years is aseptic spray drying – a technology that promises to revolutionize pharmaceutical manufacturing.
